Anyone seen the fab glitchy adverts down the escalators from
Waterloo Station to Northern Line? All pixellated in neon colours.
Just got back from seeing my parental units and sis. And my photographer
friend Rich is doing me a great favour with some postcards for Oslo, so
that was cool.

22 DECEMBER
This one looks a bit TDR-ish, dontcha think?
This glitch is one of the hardest types to capture, having a lifetime
of under 0.1s. It was generated under laboratory conditions by making
a C64 emulator execute a Z80 emulator.

This is the last glitch I'll be releasing before Xmas, so have
a good 'un and don't get crushed or mashed. This would be a good
time to wish _me_ a happy Xmas, in the online-super-droopy-highway
guestbook.com interface systeme, found by following the INPUT$ link
in the BLUE blocks. Ignore the German bits, just type any old rubbish in.

Adobe Acrobat PDF viewer. Always a reliable standby if you need
a glitch in a hurry. I don't normally use these sorts of colours, but
I think it looks OK - almost opalescent.

15 DECEMBER
The pre-Xmas clearance sale of BEFLIX/PENDING continues. Another
picture with no attached information about where it came from.
Must be more organised in the New Year... 
This looks like the eternal fire of Hell to me. But don't be alarmed.
It's only a picture.

I've borrowed a laptop PC off Andy at work. It was the company's,
but he rescued it from being thrown in the bin. It's a P90. Hmmm.
And the screen fades out after 25 minutes. Hmmmm. And it's only
got a 256-colour video RAM. Hmmmm. Still, who needs more colours
when doing a digital art presentation :)

Anyway, never mind all that. Here's today's instalment of digital delight.
It's one of the glitch pics in my BEFLIX/PENDING folder, but
unfortunately I can't remember how I got it. So, in the absence of a story,
just imagine a time when you were happy, perhaps walking along the
beach on a hot sunny day. But don't fall asleep or I'll delete your brain.

Starting to get nervous about this Oslo Glitch Festival/Symposium.
Took me two hours today to find a Norwegian phrasebook. That's an omen.
I've cleverly managed to find all three phrases I'll be needing:

Hei, God dag  == Hi, how's it going?
Øl, takk == Beer, thanks
Kan du få bort denne flekken? == Can you get this stain out?

Also, I need to somehow get a laptop PC so I can do some "live glitching".
Anyone fancing donating theirs for me to practise on? I thought not.
Thing is, I haven't really got anything particularly deep or pretentious to say
about glitch art. I mean, it's just about pictures, and you either like them
or not. So for this thing I thought I'd just do some glitches, and otherwise
remain pretty much silent.

Is a VIC20 powerful enough to launch a nuclear missile? Now look at this
screenshot. Think again. Imagine if everbody's brains were memory-mapped.
You could just go around POKEing random stuff into their heads and induce
digital paranoia.


WIDE FONT TERROR

07 DECEMBER
Colin emailed me a screenshot today of some inplace-activision gone
horribly, horribly wrong. Actually, it was just a screen-redraw glitch,
but it looks very architectural, like one of those Escher 'impossible
staircases'. I've changed the colours to protect the identity of the pixels.

I want to see this image blown up to A0 size ... can anyone from the UK recommend
a good large-format printing company?

Cicuit-bending is highly fashionable right now, so it seemed a good time to
